Today 18th December, 2024, marked a truly special occasion as we gathered at the National Training and Rehab Center for the Vietnamese Blind (217 Trung Kinh, Hanoi) for the opening ceremony of our Vietnamese Therapeutic Massage Training program. The air was buzzing with genuine delight and palpable enthusiasm, and it warmed our hearts to see the eagerness on every face.
This course, generously sponsored by Omamori Spa and BlindLink, is more than just a training program; it’s a profound commitment to creating meaningful learning opportunities and fostering career development for 32 incredible visually impaired individuals in Vietnam. Each student carries unique dreams and aspirations, and we are so honored to be a part of their journey.

Witnessing the dedication of these 32 students, ready to acquire new skills under the compassionate guidance of our 3 lead teachers and 3 teaching assistants, is truly inspiring. With the support of a sighted coordinator, we are committed to ensuring this intense program runs smoothly, providing the best possible environment for their growth.

What makes this program so special to us is its deeply thoughtful and hands-on approach. For many of our students, this is their very first chance to truly understand the mechanics of their craft – from essential warm-up exercises for their hands to proper breathing techniques. Our teachers are passionately focused on emphasizing correct body positioning, a concept often new to many blind therapists who might unknowingly over-rely on arm strength, leading to discomfort. This course is designed to address these crucial challenges, ensuring that every participant develops a practice that is not only effective but also safe and sustainable for their well-being.

The opening ceremony today was a beautiful affirmation of our shared belief in the power of compassion and genuine care for the visually impaired community. We truly see this as far more than just a vocational course. It is a heartfelt gateway to new opportunities, a chance to empower each participant to deeply believe in their own remarkable abilities, and to help them build the brighter, more independent futures they so truly deserve. ❤️
