Massage Training Program
Massage Training Program
BlindLink provides free massage trainings for blind students (food and accommodation included) from all the corners of the country. Many of our students come from the mountainous or remote areas such as Cao Bang, Bac Kan, Thai Nguyen, Kon Tum provinces. Students' age varies from 18 to 40. While the largest ethnic is King, others include Hmong, Tay, Ba Na, San Riu etc.
The intensive massage training programs are organized in Omamori Spas while basic massage training courses can be organized in other places such as the Training and Rehab Center for the Vietnamese Blind (Hanoi) or the Ninh Binh Blind Association (Ninh Binh province) upon to their request.
Besides learning different massage modalities, our training programs are also designed to help blind therapists develop clinical competencies including patient care, medical knowledge, practice-based learning and improvement, professionalism, interpersonal and communication skills.
Volunteers - Giving trainees the opportunity to hear from and share experiences with certified therapists is essential to the BlindLink experience. We regularly have guest speakers and short-term volunteers help the trainees learn new techniques or modalities and professional knowledge.
